From what I can see, this forum doesn't really need moderators. We are all fine, respectful, responsible people so in theory they aren't needed. But I know you all want the fun of being one, so here's the scoop. I plan to give everyone with over 30 posts turns at being mods, so as not to have everyone a mod at the same time. I'll change it weekly. There will be one global mod and two regular mods at a time. Sign up now, first come first served. And 30 posts needed, spam posts don't count

No thanks. Being a mod should be something you earn, not some random competition. If this is how we pick mod's, you can de-mod me.

Hmm, you think? The problem is, everyone here is pretty responsible. If I mod people based on merit, the other few will invariably end up feeling slighted. If we had more people, that system would work better. If you want me to keep the old system, I suppose I can do that too. But I just want to give everyone the chance to be a mod who feels they can handle it.

I don't think you should give people the chance to be a mod just so they can experience it, you should only give the position to people you KNOW can handle it, IMO.
This system can easily be abused, with some idiot being nice just so he/she can get modded, only to abuse thier powers.

Well so far we have no idiots that I know of. And if one proves to be rather idiotic, I can easily enough remove them.
But you've made some good points. For now, I'll leave things as they were until I get some more input.
